What is Medication Therapy Management?
This is a service that is usually done once a year to review your medications and make sure that all of your medicines have a purpose, no drug interactions, and still appropriate for your healthcare goals.
Do you have a Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan?
If you take multiple medications, there is a good chance that your prescription drug plan that you use at the pharmacy (such as SilverScript, Humana, Wellcare, etc) will cover this service at no extra charge to you. Call us for more information to determine if your plan will cover you or for more information about your out of pocket costs.
Do you need an appointment?
Yes. We can do this review over the phone or face to face. We can also do this review with the patient's caregiver, as long as appropriate permission has been given. These can take up to an hour and we'd like to have some time to review your list of medications and over-the-counter supplements prior to our visit. An appointment time makes this easier to ensure we use your time efficiently.
Ready to simplify your medications?
One of our favorite programs that we offer at both of our locations is Medication Synchronization! We work with your doctor's office and insurance company to get your medications available for pick up on one day each month. This simplifies your medication burden by reducing your trips to the pharmacy. For our Med Sync patients, we start working your prescriptions a week before they're due! This gives us time to address any issues such as: ordering special medications, getting refills from your doctors office, extra paper work for your insurance to cover your medicine, etc. Who can be a Med Sync patient? Anyone who takes 1 or more medications each month! We can even synchronize your family if you've got children or a spouse who takes maintenance medications. This program is a favorite for caregivers too! Just give us a call to get set up!
We bill insurance, Arkansas Medicaid, and Medicare Part B for supplies!
When you have diabetes, monitoring your blood sugar is important to maintaining your health. Certain medications can often lower your sugar too low and other medications can hide the signs of low blood sugar. Also, you want to keep an eye on how well your medication is working. Monitoring at home allows you to correct issues in between doctors visits. Our pharmacists and trained pharmacy technicians are available to help you learn and understand your new meter, too.
We are happy to offer supplies and kits available at both locations. Both locations are able to bill insurance for your supplies and our Cherokee Village location is able to bill Arkansas Medicaid and Medicare Part B. Give us a call for more information about your coverage.
Are you looking for pain relief alternatives?
In the last couple of years, we've had so many patients who are wanting to lessen their reliance on oral medications to control their pain. The opioid crisis has impacted our communities and we believe that patients who are ready to reduce these medications need to have all the help they can get. We are here to support you in this journey. Many patients work with their pain specialists to find alternatives and we are here to show you several options to help. We offer over-the-counter topical products that help to treat your pain without the effects of opioids. Lidocaine, magnesium, and hemp flower products are some of our biggest sellers because our patients are having such good results with them in treating their pain. Please, stop by and talk to us about your options in reducing your pain and your reliance on medications.
*Do not change any prescription drug regimen without discussing first with your provider.
